Little Miner Taco and Barrel House Cafe & Bar partner for food and community

Locally-owned authentic Mexican taqueria brand Little Miner Taco has partnered with the newly revitalized Barrel House Café & Bar in Logan Circle. Under the ownership of the team behind Wunder Garten, the popular Bavarian-inspired beer garden in NoMa, Barrel House has undergone a significant transformation, reimagining the former liquor store space as a vibrant community destination. As part of this new partnership, Little Miner Taco oversees Barrel House’s food program, introducing its signature offerings to complement the vibrant new concept.

Little Miner Taco offers a diverse menu of street tacos, birria dishes, loaded fries, burritos, quesadillas, and bowls, all made with a variety of proteins, fresh toppings, and house-made salsas. The menu features bold flavors and customizable options, with dishes that pair well with a range of beverages. A Late Night Menu will launch in late February and will feature birria spice-rubbed wings, elote corn, and chips with a selection of dips.

The partnership between Little Miner Taco and Barrel House blends innovative cuisine with a historic space, creating a unique experience for the Logan Circle neighborhood and beyond. Both brands are passionate about fostering community connections, making this collaboration a natural fit.

“At Little Miner Taco, we’ve always believed that food has the power to bring people together, but it’s also an opportunity to make a meaningful difference,” said Kathy Voss, founder of Little Miner Taco. “This partnership with Barrel House allows us to not only expand our culinary reach but also give back to the community that has supported us so much by directly investing in the future of D.C. students through DC Public Schools.”

With this new location, Little Miner Taco will expand its efforts to support children in the community, furthering its commitment to education and local outreach. A portion of proceeds from meals will be donated to DC Public Schools, helping to provide resources and opportunities for students in the area. By integrating this initiative into its expansion, Little Miner Taco aims to create a lasting impact beyond the dining experience, reinforcing its dedication to both great food and meaningful community support.

“The last thing kids should have to worry about is having money to pay for their food,” said Kathy Voss, founder of Little Miner Taco. “Little Miner Taco has always been committed to making great food accessible to all, so we wanted to tackle this issue not just with financial contributions but also by raising awareness.”
