Nothing makes me happier than free whiskey. Well that’s not entirely true, but free whiskey makes me very happy.

This small-batch bourbon’s description sounds amazing. Available now from our favorite whiskey bar in DC: Jack Rose. From DCist:
The Orange Blossom Special is a five-year aged bourbon described by Bar Manager Rachel Sergi with a nose of “muddled citrus peel with a faint hint of Cognac,” and a palate of “sweet oatmeal rolling in to a long citrus peel-pepper finish.” Jack Rose owner Bill Thomas and friend Jake Parrott went to the distiller to pull samples, and selected the barrels they wanted. So it was only natural for the Orange Blossom Special to makes its way to a Jack Rose tap.
A day to wallow around in your own misery? Who wouldn’t want to go? Just kidding obviously. If you’re single then this is the party for you, since you KNOW everybody there will be single too.
Mens Life DC will be there!
From the Going out Gurus of the Washington Post:
In the midst of a remodel, Bar Pilar nixes cupid in favor of a night of hilarious wallowing, with “bitter” and “sour”-themed cocktails and desserts and plenty of breakup songs. Think: Cupid’s Broken Arrow with rum, sugarcane citrus soda and housemade bitters, citrus-pickled melon and mint, and desserts such as the bittersweet chocolate terrine with burnt orange sabayon and maldon.
Bar Pilar is located at 1833 14th St NW Washington, DC
