Where to catch every snap: DC’s top bars for football season

Carolina Panthers fans at Mission Navy Yard

Football season has returned to Washington, and the region’s bars and restaurants are ready to pack in fans for every kickoff. From dedicated big-screen setups to team-specific watch parties, here are six spots serving up prime viewing, late-night kitchens and game day deals this fall.

Mission Navy Yard

Mission Navy Yard (1221 Van St. SE) shows every college and NFL game across 23 TVs on two levels, with sound on throughout. DJs take over after big games, daily happy hour runs all week and the kitchen stays open until midnight nightly, 1 a.m. Thursday through Saturday. The venue is the official bar for Texas A&M, Iowa, the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons. Drink specials include $6.55 bottled beer, $9.50 22 oz. drafts and shots at $6.50 each. On the food side, Mexican chile wings and Nachos Volcán both come in at $12.95. Groups can bundle it all with The Navy Yard Baller at $200, which includes two beer buckets, five shooters, multiple food orders and a Mission Navy Yard baseball cap.

The Admiral

The Admiral (1 Dupont Circle NW) is Dupont Circle’s go-to football destination, with 15 TVs — including outdoor screens — running sound all day. The bar is the official watch spot for Alabama, TCU and the Miami Dolphins, drawing loyal fan groups every week. Game day specials include $6.50 canned beer, $9.50 22 oz. drafts and themed shooters like the Shula Slammer and Crimson Tea at $6.50 each. Food highlights include chicken wings, cheeseburger sliders and cheesesteak egg rolls. Groups can go all-in with The Fleet Commander at $175, a bundled package covering beer buckets, shooters and a spread of shareable bites.

Whitlow’s at the Wharf

Whitlow’s at the Wharf (949 Wharf St. SW) is an official Penn State bar for the 2026 season and carries NFL Sunday Ticket. Football specials run during Penn State games and every Sunday from 12:30 p.m. until midnight. Beer pitchers start at $22.50 for Michelob Ultra, with drafts like Devils Backbone Heavenly Trip IPA at $6.50.

Desert 5 Spot DC

Desert 5 Spot puts a Western spin on game day with Touchdown Hoedown, a weekend viewing series featuring college and NFL football alongside some of the city’s best deals. Every Saturday and Sunday at noon, fans can catch select games while taking advantage of $5 beers and seltzers, $9 cocktails and $9 burgers, wings and nachos. Between plays, guests can hit the terrace for cornhole or take a turn on the mechanical bull upstairs. On select Sundays, Palm & Pony’s Rodeo Takeover brings live DJs and bottle service to the mix.

Atlas Brew Works

Atlas Brew Works brings football specials to three area taprooms: Atlas Alexandria, Atlas Bridge District and Atlas Navy Yard. Every NFL Sunday, all three locations carry NFL Sunday Ticket with $6 drafts and $5 cans from 1 to 9 p.m. Atlas Navy Yard serves as the official host bar for USC football and home base for the DC Titans Fan Club, with $6 drafts and $5 cans available during Tennessee Titans games. Bridge District sweetens the deal with 10 wings for the price of six on NFL Sundays.

Whether you are chasing a specific team or simply looking for a lively room and a cold beer, these venues give fans plenty of reasons to settle in for the season.
